We are recruiting at the SSRC, and I wanted to share our call with the listserv! We are seeking to hire a two-year postdoctoral fellow<https://www.ssrc.org/about-us/employment/?gh_jid=6337929002> to work with the Just Tech and Media and Democracy teams. The postdoc is part of the Mellon-funded Data Fluencies Project<https://www.sfu.ca/sfunews/media/media-releases/2022/06/sfu-researchers-receive-over--6-million-to-tackle-online-disinfo.html>; as such, the successful candidate will work closely with a national network of preeminent and emerging scholars. The job is to work on grant programs, research development workshops, and other field-building activities. There will also be time to work on their own research, but this is primarily designed as an opportunity for recent PhDs who are interested in careers outside of the academy. The grant was awarded this summer, and we’re looking to hire for the position in the next couple of months.
